Pass the Bottle

A short film made by a crew of 7 people in 48 hours for almost $0, Pass the Bottle pushed my expectations of what a handful of people can create in such a short time.

The project was part of Winnipeg’s 48 Hour Film Fest: at 6pm on Friday, we got a “key” with a few things that needed to be included, and had to submit a finished film by 6pm on Sunday.

I spent 40 of those 48 hours either shooting or editing. It was worth it.

Our amazing team included Liam Drummond (director, writer, producer), Julia Pupysheva (actor, costume, hair & makeup), Aaron Fung (lighting, colour grading), Abby MacArthur (script supervisor, on set photography), Sydney Tan (special effects, on set photography), Neelsen Bugayong (visual effects), and myself (cinematography and editing) — with music from The Highest Definition, a local band.
